PAYFORT and Government of Ajman to expand AjmanPay’s capabilities

Omar Soudodi, Managing Director of PAYFORT

Amazon’s Arabian payment solutions company PAYFORT has entered into an agreement with the Government of Ajman, in a bid to expand the payment options provided by AjmanPay, the emirate’s payment gateway.

According to the supplier, the partnership aims to consolidate payment gateways across all government channels, thereby allowing the users to pay for all government services through one unified payment gateway. AjmanPay will allow the use of local and international debit and credit cards including various digital wallets. PAYFORT is expected to assist the Government of Ajman in the introduction of pay-via-instalments service within the gateway portal, which will be supported by issuing banks in the UAE.

“AjmanPay is an electronic payment initiative from the Government of Ajman, squarely positioning the emirate as a future smart city,” said Omar Soudodi, Managing Director of PAYFORT. “AjmanPay consolidates payment interfaces across all government channels to one destination, by conducting a variety of government-related transactions online without requiring customers to physically visit any Ajman Government service center. Our technology will empower AjmanPay to offer value-added services for the government’s customers by enabling debit and credit card payments, payment via digital wallets, and easy instalment plans in an automated and innovative way.”

AjmanPay’s launch is deemed as the first step in the Government’s commitment to adopt digital solutions for meeting the growing expectations and demands. PAYFORT, as well as the new gateway, aims to provide a platform for the conduction of online government transactions and reduce the existing paper-based physical delivery model.

Established in 2013 in Dubai, PayFort is an Amazon Company, providing online innovative payment options to different businesses such as but not limited to, government, education, airlines, travel, insurance, retail and many more eCommerce sectors.
