Paragon Banking Group hires John Phillipou as MD for SME Lending

John Phillipou, MD of SME lending, Paragon Banking Group

UK-based Paragon Banking Group has announced the appointment of John Phillipou as the new Managing Director for SME Lending. The new hire is expected to supervise the Group’s SME lending activities including broker, commercial, invoice finance and loans for supporting the UK businesses. He will also aim to accelerate the popularity and business of Paragon’s commercial lending division.

John Phillipou, Managing Director of SME lending at Paragon, said: “I am delighted to be joining Paragon and I look forward to working with the team to deliver both a first-class service and products.”

Previously, John held the position of the CEO at PEAC Finance and led the finance solutions business for SME clients. He has worked at the Bank of Scotland, JCB Finance, Citigroup and was the International MD for Deutsche Leasing.

Established in 1985 in the West Midlands, Paragon is a British banking group that provides a range of savings products and focuses on lending in specialist mortgage and business finance markets.
