Nordea invests in Danish fintech CrediWire along with Sparekassen Kronjylland

Bjørn Bøje Jensen, Nordea’s Head of Business Banking Denmark

Financial services provider, Nordea along with Danish bank Sparekassen Kronjylland have invested in Copenhagen-based fintech CrediWire. The fintech aims to provide a visual overview of the banks’ finances and plans to utilize the investment in expanding its reach beyond the Danish borders.

CrediWire is a unique tool, which can both make life easier for our corporate customers and strengthen the cooperation and dialogue between the customer and us as a bank. We have cooperated with CrediWire for some time and can see that their solution is working. That is why we have decided to invest in the company”, said Bjørn Bøje Jensen, Nordea’s Head of Business Banking in Denmark.

Nordea has stated that CrediWire’s solution facilitates financial management for clients through an analytical tool that prepares budgets, assesses credit needs during the year, etc.

“For us, it is essential to get investors on board who understand what we want to do with the company and can help it with more than just money. We are enormously lucky to be able to invite Nordea and Sparekassen Kronjylland on board”, said Nicholas Meilstrup, CEO of CrediWire.

Established in 2015 in Denmark, Crediwire gathers financial data from across financial management system for small and medium-sized enterprises which aims to provide management and its advisors with an overview of the businesses finances. It also facilitates automated reporting and industry benchmarking.
