Moorwand launches new Merchant Acquiring solution

Robert Courtneidge, CEO, Moorwand

London-based BIN sponsor, Moorwand has announced the launch of its online acquiring solution for its European customers including FinTechs, processors, PSPs, and merchants. The online acquiring solution Merchant Acquiring offers a single payment gateway to global payment schemes, payment methods with an aim to enhance the processing of transactions by businesses.

“Technological, social and regulatory headwinds are transforming business models across the sector. Existing payment providers face rising commodification and they need to explore new ways of driving revenue as transaction fees plummet. Both new and existing providers need new money models that unlock value whilst ensuring compliance. With our Merchant Acquiring service, financial institutions and merchants benefit from offering or using these services simply, securely and profitably. And this is just the beginning. This launch forms part of a wider company strategy that will see our range of services expand over the coming months, including point-of-sale solutions,” said Robert Courtneidge, CEO of Moorwand.

According to the supplier, the solution spans merchant processing, settlement, refund processing, fraud prevention, and chargeback management. It also provides access to multi-scheme acquiring and operating within payment cycles. Customers of the Acquiring solution will also be allowed to access the supplier’s Digital Banking solution which supports SEPA transfers.

Moorwand states that the new solution was developed to provide simplified e-commerce payment solutions with customers getting low operational costs, high performance and compliance with industry regulations.

Recently, Moorwand launched access to SEPA Initiative for its Digital Banking Service customers.

Established in 2013 in the UK, Moorwand offers end-to-end payment solutions to merchants and customers in the EEA. It is a BIN sponsor, issuer and acquirer that aims to provide agile and dynamic programmes for reducing payment frictions while simultaneously ensuring compliance.
