Global payments service provider Ingenico Group has partnered with Swedish furnishings retailer IKEA’s India unit to enable digital payments for the latter’s e-commerce platform.

Ingenico ePayments India (formerly TechProcess & EBS) has developed and implemented customized payment gateway solution and Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) to support IKEA INDIA’s needs, the company said in a statement today.

Henrik Tuner, Head of Multichannel, IKEA India, said, “We are excited to present our vast range of products to the Indian consumers through our e-commerce platform. Through this platform, we will continue to provide well designed and functional home furnishing solutions to the consumers, which is yet another step to our long-term commitment to the Indian market.” He further added that the partnership with Ingenico would ensure an easy and secure payment experience.

IKEA will be launching its online shopping services in Mumbai, followed by Hyderabad, opening the physical stores and introducing other touchpoints that will bring the brand closer to customers. IKEA aims to be present in 49 cities by 2030.
