GoCardless

Hiroki Takeuchi, CEO at GoCardless

To mark its US debut, GoCardless, a global paytech, launched a new automated clearing house (ACH) debit payments solution on its platform.

The solution is expected to present businesses an opportunity to transform the collection of funds in a market where 60% of B2B payments are still processed through cheques. By using the ACH debit network on the GoCardless platform, merchants can pull payments directly from customers’ bank accounts, at lower costs without any overhead of cash and cheques, according to a statement.

“…adding ACH to the GoCardless platform will give businesses across the globe access to the world’s largest market, helping them unlock new revenue streams,” Hiroki Takeuchi, CEO of GoCardless said.

In addition, businesses using the solution are expected to gain increased visibility over their payments flow through a fully automated collection system. The solution is also likely to provide information to businesses to help them better manage and reconcile payments including due dates, successful payments, and failed payments.

GoCardless is a technology provider for recurring payments, headquartered in London with offices in France, Australia, and Germany. More than 45,000 businesses worldwide, from multinational corporations to (small and medium scale businesses (SMBs), transact through the platform each month, and the business processes $10 billion of payments each year. With the launch of ACH debit in the US market, GoCardless’ global debit network now spans over 30 countries, accessed through a single API and platform, the statement added.
