Gala Technology expands SOTpay to Germany for post COVID-19 demands

gala technologyUK-based SOTpay payment solutions provider, Gala Technology, announced an extension of their capabilities in Germany in a bid to support merchants and demands from their acquiring partners. The company has stated that the expansion will enable German merchants to leverage the technology for processing card not present (CNP) transactions, following its surge during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jason Mace, CEO at Gala Technology, commented, “SOTpay enables cardholders to complete secure remote transactions without divulging card data to a third party. Payments are authenticated, providing liability shift for the merchant, consequently eliminating the risk of fraud-related chargebacks and are processed in a PCI DSS compliant environment, in a manageable and cost-effective way.”

Recently, Gala Technology partnered with card payment solution provider, Retail Merchant Services (RMS) in a bid to protect the latter’s clients from fraud while processing ‘Card Not Present’ transactions.

Mace continued, “We have supported merchants in the UK and Ireland for a number of years, who had a need for our technology to process secure and PCI compliant payments and we have seen additional demand since the outbreak of COVID-19. We are thrilled that Gala Technology has now completed the development sprint to enable German merchants to utilise our SOTpay solution in their native tongue.”

UK-based Gala Technology has developed the secure and PCI DSS compliant, payment solution, SOTpay. This cloud-based solution enables merchants to process secure digital payments across various channels, including telephony, email, SMS, webchat and Social Media platforms.
