ezbob has appointed Jason O’Shaughnessy as VP Business Development with a specific remit to open up new markets for the cloud-based lending platform provider.

O’Shaughnessy has over 20 years of experience in both senior sales and management positions within established businesses such as Yodlee, a leading data aggregation and data analytics platform provider and innovative start-ups including Versive, a cyber machine learning early threat detection solution.

“SME lending is very much in vogue with both the traditional providers and the disruptive new players all vying for a segment of this highly lucrative market,” said O’Shaughnessy. “And this trend is not just confined to the UK and Western Europe as we are seeing increased interest in our solutions across other geographies including Poland, Spain, South Africa, parts of Asia and Australia.”

“I am delighted to welcome Jason to the firm. These are exciting times for the business and the past 12 months have been exhilarating as the interest in our industry leading platform grows apace. Thus far, the achievements of the existing ezbob team have been nothing short of spectacular,” said Tomer Guriel, founder and chief executive officer, ezbob. “Not only have we successfully on-boarded a prestigious new client in the form of American Express, we also extended our relationships with existing clients and the scale of incoming enquiries across the world continues to rise unabated.”

The ‘Lending as a Service’ platform provider also supports ESME Loans and CYBG. ezbob has offices in London, Tel Aviv and Bulgaria with a workforce of 70 people presently.
