Emirates NBD selects AWS for personalized retail banking experience

Emirates NBD(ENBD) has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a bid to utilize AWS machine learning, enhance its retail customer banking experience and streamline banking. ENBD will also utilize AWS data analytics, Internet of Things, Natural Language Processing(NPL) etc.

Suvo Sarkar, Senior Executive Vice President and Group Head – Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Emirates NBD said, “Emirates NBD and Amazon share common values of innovation and customer centricity and we look forward to leveraging AWS’s technologies and innovation practices to make banking more easy and intuitive for our customers.”

According to the bank, the AWS collaboration will allow ENBD to utilize AWS’ AI and machine learning services in order to deploy machine learning models for real-time banking experiences. The bank will leverage Amazon’s SageMaker and Amazon Personalize, two machine learning services for enablement of personalized retail banking applications. The bank will utilize NPL technology for ease of call centre automation and Amazon Polly, a cloud service to convert written content into human-like speech. Apart from this, ENBD will utilize AWS’ image recognition and IoT solutions for secure authentication.

Recently, Emirates NBD’s digital bank Liv. partnered with Kasisto, the AI platform- KAI Banking creator, in a bid to launch Olivia, Liv.’s conversational AL chatbot.
