Catering to the growing menace of cyber threats, Deloitte and Splunk Inc., a California-based software firm, have joined forces to provide automated security monitoring and response services to organizations worldwide.

The step is expected to drive better consistency and improved fidelity into security workflows and outputs.

“The strength of the Deloitte/Splunk alliance is a real benefit to clients in helping them achieve their security monitoring and response objectives in a highly efficient, cost-effective manner,” said Kent Cinquegrana, managing director in Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory.

He further added, “The combination of Deloitte’s Fusion Managed Services and Splunk Phantom can enable a more rapid response to cyber adversaries and the challenges they present to organizations every day.”

Fusion Managed Services facilitates threat intelligence, monitoring, attack surface identification, and reduction and incident response to help organizations detect and respond to unauthorized activity before it can adversely affect networks.

Splunk Phantom combines security infrastructure orchestration, playbook automation, and case management capabilities to integrate processes and tools together

According to Aziz Benmalek, vice president, Worldwide Partners at Splunk, the alliance will help customers build customized, vertical-based use cases and associated automated playbooks.

He further added that the new offerings will also help customers establish a proactive cybersecurity practice which will reduce operating expenses and help them address security issues more efficiently thus leaving them with ample time to focus on other priorities.
