Currencycloud to enhance abroad money spending for Currensea’s clients

Currencycloud has entered into a partnership with UK-based bank account-linked travel money card Currensea in a bid to enhance customer experience while using bank cards for abroad transactions. The collaboration is expected to provide Currensea’s cardholders with competitive FX rates while still using their regular bank accounts on their travels.

“By using Currensea, consumers need never worry again about the hassle and cost associated with spending abroad”, said Craig Goulding, Co-founder at Currensea. “Our partnership with Currencycloud helps us to deliver both great FX pricing and reliable and quick service.”

Recently, Currencycloud and TransferGo announced their partnership to facilitate cross border payments and assist the former’s launch in 14 new markets in Q1 2020.

“The combination of Currencycloud’s great FX offer and Currensea’s novel solution to the problem of bank charges associated with using your bank card abroad, is a perfect partnership”, said Nick Cheetham, Chief Revenue Officer at Currencycloud. “We look forward to working with the Currensea team to introduce more customer benefits as they grow.”

Currensea’s service lets customers spend from their own bank account with a different card. It is a travel money card linked directly to the customer’s high street bank account that eliminates international transaction fees and provides competitive exchange rates.

Established in 2012 in the UK, Currencycloud is a global payments platform that aims to simplify the process of moving money with APIs and customized payment solutions.
