CubeLogicCubeLogic on Wednesday announced completion of the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II audit certification. This accreditation confirms the effectiveness of the firm’s internal controls for compliance and data protection, it said in a statement.

CubeLogic, a provider of business intelligence enabled risk management solutions, said it voluntarily elected to be examined to provide their clients, which includes energy, commodity, insurance and financial institutions, with a comprehensive view of the security of its internal processes.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which issues the SOC 2 attestation is widely recognized as the industry de-facto standard for assurance on a service organization’s controls relevant to security, availability, and processing integrity of all systems related to information technology.

“This is a great achievement for the team and testament to all of the hard work and diligence when operating our business. Security of data is non-negotiable and the potential reputational risk of a breach can destroy a business overnight. We work with the world’s largest energy and commodity firms and so providing this official mark of approval is a huge benefit,” said Chris Cantle, CTO.

It had received ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification (known as ISO 27001) earlier this year, which validates the effectiveness of the firm’s security operation related to risk management, development, HR, third-party risk and other areas. It now aims to achieve ISO9001:2015 QMS processes in the coming months.
