Mercedes Benz Bank, GermanyStuttgart-based universal bank, Mercedes Benz Bank, has recently gone live on a new core banking system. The bank has implemented Sopra Banking Platform (formerly Thaler), supplied by Sopra Banking Software. The project started in early 2012 and was focused on retail banking operations.

Sopra’s earlier Thaler users in Germany comprise two online banking entities: Moneyou (ABN Amro’s direct banking arm) and RaboDirect (owned by Rabobank; for more details on this project see IBS, September 2012, Rabobank IDB in core banking system upgrade).
