bitFlyer simplifies crypto trading with app

Cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer has launched a smartphone application to allow users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), available in Europe and the US.

The bitFlyer app, launched on iOS and Android, and adheres to the same KYC and verification standards as the bitFlyer website, which was launched in 2014, and is part of the company’s latest growth strategy.

Users can buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum Classic, Monacoin and Lisk direct via the smartphone app.

Its users can view real-time price data, set up notifications on market movements and read about cryptocurrencies in a news feed. The app also shows the users their position and allows them to keep track of profit and loss, view trade history and visualise their portfolio. Sending and receiving is also made possible with a QR code.

Yuzo Kano, bitFlyer founder and CEO of bitFlyer USA, said: “With the new bitFlyer apps, we are bringing the reliability, security and experience of Japan’s market leader to our European and American customers, closing the gap between our service offerings and creating a truly global and regulated exchange product.”

The exchange is the only exchange licensed to operate across the US, Japan and Europe combined. Following major growth in the space for European and US businesses, the platform wants to match what is already available to millions of bitFlyer Japan customers.

Andy Bryant, Co-head and COO at bitFlyer Europe, said: “With our Buy/Sell platform, we strived to create a simpler, faster and even more transparent experience where everyone can buy cryptocurrencies in just a few minutes and from a reputable source. Now with the bitFlyer app, this is even more convenient for users.

We are staying true to our mission of making the world simpler with blockchain, by making the transparency, security and simplicity of our robust trading platforms available via a quick, single app download.”
