ABN AMRO to secure online purchases with Apple Pay

Dutch banking group ABN AMRO has announced its integration with Apple Pay in a bid to simplify and secure payments for its customers and facilitate in-store, in-app and website purchases.

“We are pleased we can offer Apple Pay to our customers,” said Yvonne Duits, Product Owner Payments. “We continuously work to bring new and innovative payment methods to our customers, so we’re pleased to be able to offer Apple Pay.”

According to the supplier, Apple Pay will assign a unique Device Account Number to customers instead of storing the card numbers on the device and will ensure the authorization of transactions with a one-time unique security code. Customers, through the utilization of Apple Pay, will receive rewards and benefits offered by the bank’s credit and debit cards.

Recently, ABN AMRO announced that it is launching a SaaS application for housing corporations, Wooncontractgemak, in a bid to enhance and automate the housing applications and allocations processes.
