Capital Bank of Jordan selects Backbase for digital transformation

Capital Bank of Jordan (CBoJ) has partnered with BackBase, provider of omnichannel digital banking platform with an aim to digitally transform its institutional and retail banking platforms. The supplier states that in order to achieve its transformation goal and sustain in the digitally emerging markets, Backbase 6 and its IAM capabilities is expected to provide the bank with a scalable, customer-centric and flexible digital platform.

Capital Bank CEO Ala Qumsieh said: “Our business model focuses on putting the client at the forefront and the centre of our efforts. This requires flexibility, agility and excellence in our offerings. With this investment, Capital Bank will redefine the customer experience and expand its business vertically through cutting-edge technology. The bank’s digital transformation will continue to evolve with the available technologies of the market, and Backbase is an ideal long-term strategic partner.”

The partnership will also see CBoJ implementing Backbase CXS 6, DBS and Entitlements and will have Backbase’s platform being utilized across digital channels.

The new technology implementation will be undertaken by Backbase and Bring Global and will be deployed on a cloud-based solution model which includes the updated versions of core banking systems. Apart from this, CBoJ will also utilize Backbase’s Identity and Access Management(IAM), which will provide a set of user management capabilities and enterprise-level access control.

Established in 1995, Capital Bank of Jordan is a private sector bank operating in Jordan and Iraq. It provides a range of products and services across retail and corporate banking divisions.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Amsterdam and Atlanta, Backbase are the creators of the Backbase Omni-Channel Banking Platform, a digital banking software solution that unifies data and functionality from traditional core systems and new fintech players into a better digital customer experience.
