Boerse Stuttgart Rolls Out New Crypto-Trading App BISON

Boerse Stuttgart GmbH, the German Stock Exchange, has launched its crypto trading app Bison, according to an official tweet dated January 31st. Bison was first announced by the stock exchange in May 2018. The software was developed by FinTech Sowa Labs — a subsidiary of Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures. The developers’ reported aim in making the app is to ease access to cryptocurrencies for investors that are accustomed to using traditional markets.

A feature of the app is the Cryptoradar. This tool uses artificial intelligence to analyse around 250,000 tweets per day from the crypto community, filter them by relevance and present them in a user-friendly format. Users will be able to  gain an overview of market sentiment on Twitter in real time and can keep up to date on the level of discussion in relation to the cryptocurrencies
traded on BISON.

Dr. Ulli Spankowski, CEO of Sowa Labs GmbH, the subsidiary of Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures GmbH which developed the BISON app, commented: “With BISON, we make trading in cryptocurrencies as simple as possible and break down entry barriers.”

The app utilizes video identification for authentication for first-time users following which the users can transfer money into their BISON account to buy and sell cryptocurrencies.

Boerse Stuttgart has also partnered with an external banking partner, SolarisBank, which will process euro payments and provide fiat custodial services, the press release notes.

Currently, the app enables free-of-charge trading in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP).
