[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Raiffeisenbank group has selected Backbase for its omni-channel banking platform and is set to deploy the new system in its Romanian operations.

According to Backbase, Raiffeisen Bank Romania was looking to a vendor that could help it take its banking platform “to the next level”. Backbase has been charged with creating a new mobile app for private individuals, web applications for retail and corporate customers and improving flexibility across all digital channels.

Implementing the new solution will enable the bank to be “more agile” and help it “adapt to the fast growing and shifting needs” of its customers, according to Bogdan Popa, Vice President of Operations and IT at Raiffeisen Bank Romania.

Jouk Pleiter, CEO of Backbase, adds: “It was important for Raiffeisen Bank to upgrade its online systems in order to provide a seamless user experience for all of their clients, whether they be private individuals or corporates.

“The Backbase omni-channel banking platform gives  Raiffeisen Bank the business agility it needs to better serve the digital needs of its customer-base, whilst also empowering the bank with more flexibility and ownership over its platform.
