Axioma wins deal with Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM)

US headquartered portfolio and risk management specialist, Axioma, announced that it has won a deal with leading European asset manager, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), for the implementation of the supplier’s enterprise-wide risk-management solution, Axioma Risk. The solution, which was launched in 2015, has a cloud native architecture offering clients a “unified” multi-asset class risk management platform for middle-to-front office users, providing portfolio managers and risk officers with risk reporting, risk analysis and decision support for multi-asset class portfolios.

The UK headquartered LGIM, which has assets under management of over $1 trillion, is one of Europe’s largest asset managers and one of the world’s leading providers of index fund management. For Axioma, this contract represents a marquee win and adds LGIM to its impressive customer portfolio of leading asset managers such as Charles Schwab, Allianz Global Investors, Invesco and SEB amongst others.

“As the only cloud-based multi-asset class risk solution that delivers consistent views of risk across the enterprise, Axioma Risk continues to gain traction with financial institutions seeking the utmost in power, flexibility and analytics.” said Sebastian Ceria, CEO.

Adel Malcolm, Head of Global Analytics at LGIM, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Axioma as we expand our risk analytics capability so that we are well-positioned for the future.”

Axioma offers enterprise risk management, portfolio management, and regulatory reporting solutions to over 7,000 managers and risk professionals representing portfolios over $2 trillion in combined assets under management. The supplier recently developed a European-focused, equity factor risk model which provides institutions investing in Europe with region-specific insights for risk management, performance attribution, and portfolio construction. Last month, it also launched  interactive new dashboards that expose risk insights trapped in analytics, spreadsheets, disparate databases and static PDF reports, to drive more informed investment decision-making for portfolio and risk managers.
