Ampion and Plutos Ventures’ new project to support African startups

Ampion, based in Africa and Germany-based Plutos Ventures have announced the establishment of Ampion Ventures- a project aimed at building digital business models in certain African countries by providing them with seed capital and expert support.

The collaboration will see Plutos Ventures providing Ampion with its first seed funding.

Fabian-Carlos Guhl, Managing Director Ampion Ventures GmbH said, “With Ampion it was our mission from the very beginning to initiate technological development in the African continent and thus contribute to the well-being of the African people and the continent’s economic development. Now is the right time to further develop our model and scale selected business models.”

According to the company, Ampion has been focussing on agricultural, energy, and fintech sector startups. Over the past few years, Ampion has bolstered a number of startups with the help of partners such as MTN, SAP, Merk, Microsoft and international development cooperation institutions.
