CoCoNet appoints Mark Lohweber as the new CEO

Digital solutions provider in the corporate banking sector, CoCoNet has announced the appointment of Mark Lohweber as the new CEO. He will lead the board of directors, which also consists of Björn Hassing und Axel B. Wiethoff. Mark will be responsible for launching the company’s growth strategies and propel strategic sales. He will be responsible for strategy, consulting, marketing and sales activities at CoCoNet.

“In corporate banking, many banks have great potential for process and portfolio optimisation through digitalisation”, said Mark Lohweber on his appointment. “CoCoNet already offers outstanding solutions in this area. That is why I am very happy, together with Axel, Björn and the entire CoCoNet team, to be a strong partner in digitalisation for the banking sector.

Previously, Lohweber led the entire banking business unit at adesso, where he was responsible for numerous digitalisation projects over the last 13 years. He began his career at Deutsche Bank and is a trained banker and a law school graduate.

Recently, Swiss banking group Raiffeisen announced a collaboration with CoCoNet with an aim to launch a new joint service offering for corporate customers of the Raiffeisen banks. According to the companies, the solution supports payment transactions and cash management for small companies along with a fully integrated set of functions. In an initial phase, this includes standardized data exchange, payment release, interbank retrieval of account information, tools for liquidity planning and management and creation of payment orders. The platform will be expanded to include additional functions, such as customer self-service. The project will be implemented on the basis of CoCoNet’s MULTIVERSA products.

Established in 1984, Germany-headquartered CoCoNet develops digital banking software for banks and corporates. It supports the emerging trends in bank-to-customer relationships including better user experience, personalised services and innovative features. Its user-oriented product development creates omnichannel solutions that meet the competitive security demands.
